From NARFE Recruit to Candidate for RVP

You might say I “came up through the ranks” in my NARFE career and the experience that I have gained along the way will enhance my ability to serve as your Region III Vice President.  It’s like how items get ranked higher on Google search; the things you do to rank higher will improve the quality of your Google listing.

When I was first asked if I would be interested in attending a NARFE Chapter meeting in the community I had just moved into, I must admit I had no clue what NARFE was and what its mission was.  Being new to the community and wanting to get involved in activities, I agreed to attend the chapter meeting.  I was now a NARFE “Recruit;” and little did I know, I was embarking on a journey that has indeed been a learning experience and at the same time very rewarding. It is said that a person’s level of success is determined by their level of discipline and perseverance.   It is certainly better to be at the bottom of the ladder you want to climb than the top of the one you don’t.  I started on the first rung of the ladder and I’m still climbing.  It’s a journey that I feel has prepared me to serve as your next Region III Vice President.

The following charts provide a synopsis of my NARFE career, to include positions held, programs developed, awards received, etc. at the Chapter, Federation, and National levels.
